Shipping Policy

 

Processing Time

Each portrait collection is custom-made.
Production: 2 business days after you approve your final proof.
You will receive a confirmation email once printing begins.
Orders placed after 10 December (Ireland) may not arrive before Christmas.

 

Delivery Times & Services

We ship from Dublin, Ireland.

Ireland: An Post Standard / Express – 2–4 business days. Tracked on request.
Digital & Animation Files: Email delivery within 24 hours of proof approval.

Delivery times are estimates only and may vary due to postal volumes, weather, or customs delays.
AI Christmas Cards Ltd is not liable for delays caused by carriers or external circumstances.

  • UK: €9.99 Standard

  • Digital/Animation: Free

 

Order Tracking

When your parcel is dispatched, you’ll receive a tracking number by email.
Tracking updates may take up to 24 hours to appear online.

 

Packaging

All prints and cards are packed in rigid, eco-friendly mailers with protective inserts.
 

Delays or Missing Parcels

If your order has not arrived within the estimated window:

  1. Contact support@aichristmascards.ie with your order number.

We’ll investigate with the carrier and, if necessary, arrange a replacement or refund.

 

International Orders

We currently ship only to Ireland and the United Kingdom.

Digital Files

Digital portraits and animation clips are sent by secure download link.
Links remain active for 30 days — please save your files promptly.

 

Return & Exchange Policy

 

Custom Artwork Policy

Each AI portrait, printed card set, and animation is a bespoke creation based on your photo and approved proof.
 

As such, we cannot accept returns or exchanges once you have approved your preview.

 

However, we take print quality and likeness very seriously.

 

Reprints & Replacements

We will gladly reprint or replace any order that meets one of the following conditions:

  • The printed product arrives damaged in transit.

  • The print quality is materially defective (faded, misaligned, or incorrect colour balance).

  • You receive the wrong order or incomplete items.

  • The likeness does not match the final approved proof due to a technical error on our side.

 

How to request:
Email orders@aichristmascards.ie within 7 days of delivery.
 

Include your order number, a brief description, and clear photos showing the issue.
Our team will review and confirm eligibility within 2 business days.
 

If approved, we will issue a free reprint or full refund, depending on the case.

 

Refunds

Refunds are approved only when:

  • The item cannot be reprinted in time for delivery (e.g., postal delays after 18 December).

  • You cancel your order before proof approval.

Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5–7 business days.

 

Digital Files & Animation Refunds

Because digital portraits and animations are delivered instantly and cannot be “returned,” refunds are available only if:

  • The final artwork was not delivered as described, or

  • The file is corrupted and cannot be replaced.

 

We guarantee re-delivery of missing or corrupted digital files within 24 hours of notification.

 

Cancellations

If we have worked up a proof and you wish to cancel, a 50% fee will be charged.
This deduction reflects the value of creative work already completed.

Once approved, the artwork moves into production and cancellation is no longer possible.

We aim for every client to be thrilled with their portrait collection.

 

Copyright & Intellectual Property

 

Ownership of Artwork

All AI-rendered portraits, cards, and animations created by AI Christmas Cards Ltd remain the intellectual property of AI Christmas Cards Ltd until full payment is received.
Upon payment, you receive a perpetual, non-exclusive licence for personal use only (printing, framing, or social sharing).
Commercial resale, reproduction, or sublicensing without written permission is prohibited.

 

Uploaded Photo Licence

By uploading photos, you confirm you own the rights to them or have permission from the rights holder, and you grant AI Christmas Cards Ltd a limited licence to use them solely for your order.
We do not use uploaded photos for AI training, marketing, or unrelated purposes.

 

AI Tool Attribution

Some artwork is generated using licensed AI tools under valid commercial terms.
AI Christmas Cards Ltd retains full rights to distribute and sell resulting works consistent with those licences.

 

Copyright Enforcement

Unauthorised copying, distribution, or commercial use may result in legal action under the Copyright and Related Rights Act 2000 (Ireland) and applicable UK copyright laws.

 

Privacy & Data Policy

AIChristmasCards.ie is committed to protecting your personal data and ensuring transparency.
We operate in full compliance with the GDPR (EU 2016/679) and the UK Data Protection Act 2018.

 

1. Who We Are

  • Name, email address, postal address, and payment details

  • Uploaded photographs for portrait creation

  • Correspondence and order notes (including likeness feedback)

  • IP address and browser data (for website performance and fraud prevention)

 

We do not store or have access to payment card details — all payments are securely processed by Stripe or PayPal.

 

3. Lawful Basis for Processing

  • Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – Contract performance (creating and delivering artwork)

  • Article 6(1)(f) GDPR – Legitimate interests (quality control, fraud prevention)

 

4. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and deliver your custom AI artwork

  • To communicate about your order (proofs, approvals, shipping)

  • To improve our processes and website

  • To comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations

We do not use your photos for AI training or unrelated marketing.

 

5. Storage & Retention

  • Files are stored on encrypted servers within the EU.

  • We retain photos and project files for 90 days after completion for reprints or replacements, then permanently delete them.

  • Order and billing records are kept for 6 years for tax compliance.

 

6. Sharing & Third Parties

We share limited data only with trusted partners necessary to fulfil your order:

  • Print labs and couriers (for delivery)

  • Payment processors (for billing)

  • Email service providers (for updates)

All partners operate under GDPR-compliant Data Processing Agreements (DPAs).
We never sell, rent, or trade customer data.

 

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your data

  • Correct inaccuracies

  • Request deletion (“right to be forgotten”)

  • Restrict or object to processing

  • Request data portability
